On Monday 23 June 2025, Dr Marco Esposito, Managing Director of cosine Remote Sensing, was among the speakers in the panel discussion ‘Securing Space: Dual-Use Technologies for a Safer World’, part of the Securing the Future event at the 2025 NATO Summit in The Hague, The Netherlands.
Held under the broader theme of international defence collaboration, this high-level panel session showcased the Netherlands’ leadership in space-based technologies that serve both civilian and military needs. The panel explored how Dutch companies are pushing the frontiers of Free-Space Optics (FSO), laser satellite communication, space situational awareness (SSA), RF systems, and high-resolution spectral imaging, which are all essential tools for ensuring global security and resilience in an increasingly contested space domain.
Dr Esposito, was invited to speak alongside leading figures from the Dutch space ecosystem, including representatives from TNO, Airbus NL, ISISPACE, NLR, and FSO Instruments. His contribution highlighted how cosine’s advanced remote sensing solutions can support strategic information gathering capabilities from space.
This invitation underlines cosine’s growing role in the space-defence sector, where our cutting-edge instruments are helping to build a safer and more informed world, on Earth and beyond.
